Types of FavorDrop Promotions

FavorDrop offers several promotion types, each tailored to target audiences and specific levels of control. This flexibility allows you to align your promotion strategy with your target audience while strictly managing card allocation and budget burn rate

Below is an overview of each promotion type to help you choose the best fit for your campaign:

  • Allowlist

  • Manual Approval

  • Personal

  • Single-Use Claim Codes

  • Tap to Claim

Allowlist

A promotion designed to be claimed by a specific, predefined set of recipients (customers or employees) that are added to your Allow List. Access is restricted and easily managed using the Allow List feature, while recipient usage is tracked in the dashboard in real-time. Full promotion performance statistics are available for this type.

How It Works:

  1. Configure Your Promotion: Set up your promotion parameters in the portal, specifying the card value, redemption window, featured Merchant locations and total budget limit for your campaign.

  2. Upload Your Recipient List: Upload a .csv file containing the unique contact details (email addresses or phone numbers) of your pre-vetted target recipients to build your secure access list.

  3. Deliver via Your CRM: Simply copy your promotion URL and distribute it directly through your preferred CRM or marketing automation platform (such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Mailchimp), ensuring only authorized contacts on your list can claim their FavorDrop.

Target Audience: Known contacts already in your database - such as customers who have visited your showroom, active subscribers, loyalty members, or specific account-based marketing (ABM) targets.

Marketing Use Cases:

  • Target unsold showroom visits.

  • Targeted retention or win-back campaigns for specific high-value churn risks.

  • Exclusive loyalty rewards for top-tier customers.

  • Internal employee appreciation rewards or partner-only perks.

Why Choose This: Gives you total security and strict budget control. It guarantees zero promo leakage by ensuring only verified individuals on your list can fill out Claim forms and receive cards.

Manual Approval

A promotion type where anyone can submit a Claim Form accessed via url or QR code scan, but an authorized individual (Approver) in your organization must explicitly approve or reject each request (via SMS or the portal) before a FavorDrop Card is officially issued. Full promotion performance statistics are available for this type.

How It Works:

  1. Configure Your Promotion: Set up your promotion details in the portal, including the card value, claim form requirements, featured Merchant locations and total campaign budget cap.

  2. Assign Approvers: Designate one or multiple authorized approvers within your organization who will receive notifications and hold reviewing permissions.

  3. Distribute & Review: Share your promotion URL or QR code with your target audience. As recipients submit claim forms, your designated approvers review and either approve or reject each request (via email, SMS, or portal) before a FavorDrop card is issued.

Target Audience: Trade show attendees, reception desks sign-ins, first sales call meetings.

Marketing Use Cases:

  • Incentivizing sales demo requests or consultation sign-ups where leads must be vetted first.

  • Localized brick-and-mortar promotions restricted to specific in-person customers.

  • High-value contests requiring manual verification.

  • Business cards

Why Choose This: Protects your budget from promo abuse and unqualified leads while allowing you to capture a broad top-of-funnel audience.

Personal

A streamlined, one-time promotion created for a single, specific recipient for one-time use. This bypasses the need to configure allowlists. Per-promotion performance statistics are available for this type.

How It Works:

  1. Configure Your Promotion: Set up a quick, one-time promotion in the portal tailored specifically for an individual recipient, setting the card value, featured Merchants and expiration details.

  2. Add Recipient Details: Enter the email address or phone number of the targeted individual to automatically generate their unique, single-use claim link.

  3. Send Direct Link: Copy the generated link and deliver it directly to the recipient via your personal email, direct message, SMS, or customer support ticket for immediate 1-to-1 redemption.

Target Audience: Individual clients, warm leads, specific customer service contacts or customers that may have reached out to you after they let their original FavorDrop expire.

Marketing Use Cases:

  • One-off customer service recovery or poor service mitigator (e.g., apologizing for a shipping delay or long wait for car repair).

  • Direct sales outreach from account reps to key decision-makers or potential clients, employees.

  • Client or employee birthday, anniversary, or milestone appreciation messages.

Why Choose This: Quick and easy to create and send. Delivers a touchpoint with a personalized experience.

Single-Use Claim Code

Unique, one-time codes that are generated in batches for large-scale distribution like physical printed mailers. Recipients simply scan your Promotion’s QRcode and enter their provided unique code to receive their FavorDrop card. This allows you to easily reach a wide audience without needing to manage a pre-defined email allowlist.

How It Works:

  1. Create Your Promotion: When creating a Single-Use Claim promotion, the wizard will prompt you to generate a batch of unique one-time-use codes along with a claim QR code URL.

  2. Get Your File: You can download these codes as a .csv file, or upload your current recipient list (.csv) so the system can attach a unique code to each contact.

  3. Launch Your Campaign: Import the finalized list into your direct mail or marketing platform (such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Zoho) to print mailers or send your offer.

Note: Once a recipient claims their offer using a specific code, that code immediately expires.

Target Audience: Large-scale or automated campaign audiences reached through physical print, direct mailers, or automated CRM marketing sequences.

Marketing Use Cases:

  • Direct Mail Campaigns: Print unique QR codes or URLs on physical postcards sent directly to specific households.

  • Automated CRM Workflows: Integrate unique codes into automated sales or marketing email sequences through platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho.

  • Physical Product Inserts: Place promotional cards or vouchers with unique codes inside product packaging or event gift bags.

Why Choose This: Prevents code sharing and link forwarding across public forums while enabling seamless integration into automated marketing systems and offline print collateral.

An effortless, interactive promotion type powered by a FavorDrop pre-programmed physical NFC tags that instantly transmit the Claim Form to any smartphone in close proximity. The NFC tag can be built into desk holders, keychains, or marketing countertop or wall displays, where customers can tap to receive a single-use FavorDrop - no email allowlist or claim codes required.

How It Works

  1. Set Up & Order: Configure your promotion and receive your pre-programmed physical NFC tag devices shipped directly to you.

  2. Display: Place the NFC device in a high-traffic area, storefront, event table, or desk setup alongside your branding or promotional details.

  3. Tap & Claim: Customers simply bring their smartphone near the NFC tag to automatically open the Claim Form and instantly receive a single-use FavorDrop on a first-come, first-served basis until your allocated budget cap is reached.

Target Audience: Service centers, trade show attendees, storefront foot traffic, event visitors, and in-person clientele.

  • In-Person Promotions: Attach NFC tags to keychains or other physical products for on-the-spot FavorDrop FavoDrop distribution during sales calls or pop-up events.

  • Foot-Traffic Conversion: Position branded FavorDrop NFC displays near checkout counters or waiting areas to capture leads and distribute instant single-use offers to visitors.

Why Choose This: Eliminates the need for manual code entries or pre-defined allowlists, delivering the lowest barrier to entry and a frictionless tap-and-go experience for in-person lead collection and conversion.
