What is an "Allowlist"?

Great question! An Allowlist is exactly what it sounds like: a list of individuals that are allowed to scan a favorlink to receive a Favordrop from that campaign.

Where would this come in handy?

Use Case #1:

You have an event with a set number of people attending (of which you have their contact info). You want to send them all a favorlink in an email where they get to choose a restaurant of their choice. You don't want them sharing the favorlink with anyone outside the group so you add those people to your allowlist.

Tip: This is a great way to thank those attending your event!

Use Case #2:

You have a list of customers that you want to market to directly (of which you have their contact info for as well). You want to send them all a favorlink in an email where they get to choose a restaurant of their choice. You don't want them sharing the favorlink with anyone else. You don't want them sharing the favorlink with anyone outside the group so you add those people to your allowlist.

Ok I'm in, now how do I assign an Allowlist to a Favorlink I Created?

Step 1:

Create your Favorlink, here's how.

In STEP 2 Your Customers Favordrops under Advance Settings, turn on "Disallow signups not on allow list". Finished creating or editing your favorlink and click Save Changes.

Don't forget to Save Changes.

Step 2:

Go to the Favorlink tab, select your related Favorlink via the 3 dot selection and click Upload Allowlist.

This is where you can upload contacts that will be allowed to use the Favorlink.

Or you can click Manage Allowlist and manually add or remove names from the list.

Copy and paste your contacts Allowed Emails or Cell Phone #s into the corresponding input box. Click [Add new Allowlist] when finished.

Optional Feature: You can set an allowed date range for this list.

That's it, you are finished adding Allowlist contacts to your Favorlink.

Notes:

  1. Remember, you can reuse any Favorlink with new Allowlist contacts. Just delete the old contacts and add new when editing your Favorlink.

  2. Here is the message received when a contact is NOT on the Allowlist:
